First Aid - Level 3 First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Three Day Course Cost:  £150 + vat per person Group Booking: 8 people or more £1100 (inclusive of vat). SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered, including:- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Fractures and spinal injuries Resuscitation and AED awareness Assessment of the situation CERTIFICATION Control of bleeding Shock (including Anaphylaxis) Heart attacks Head injuries Sprains and strains Poisoning Bandaging Choking Eye injuries Chest injuries Maximum of 12 People All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aiders that can treat their casualties promptly, safely and effectively. Where a workplace First Aid Risk Assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace. This accredited Three-Day Qualification will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The Certificate is valid for 3 years and will expire from the date on the certificate. Teaching you how to treat your child should the worst occur Children can be present, though parents will remain responsible for them throughout 2.5 - 3 hr sessions Course Contents: What to do if your child goes unconscious How to check if they are breathing normally or not If they are, how to put them in the recovery position If they are not, how to start CPR and use an AED (defibrillator) What to do if your child were to choke What to do if they were to get burnt How to treat minor injuries (dependent on available time) Past Sessions: Sessions in the past have been paid for by a local charity, enabling parents to access the training for free We're happy to put on sessions for your group, playgroup, charity, or simply for you and your children We're always happy to have little ones come along They can either play around, or join us - they usually prefer to join us and play with the manikins, even trying out CPR! You will, of course, remain fully responsible for them while they are there Accreditation: These sessions are tailored to the needs of parents and are therefore not accredited. We can, however, give a CPD Certificate if that is helpful to you. This 3-day FAA Level 3 Award course offers a variety of first aid situations and teaches how to respond to an emergency. It gives delegates the confidence to deal with any of these situations safely and efficiently.

Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults One Day Course Cost:  £65 + vat per person This course promotes awareness and sensitivity to Safeguarding, enabling learners to identify the types and characteristics of abuse, record disclosure and appropriately share information with the relevant people. Safeguarding is how we can protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. In order to Safeguard and Protect Persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect. SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered including: Making judgements Communication Roles and responsibilities Sharing information Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints AGE RESTRICTIONS Learners must be minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.  COURSE NUMBERS A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course. CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification.
