Working within Heath and Social Care settings often involves moving, lifting, or otherwise manually handling the people within your care. This moving and handling training course is designed to educate learners regarding both the requirements and risks associated with moving people safely. Learners will also participate in practical moving & positioning enabling competency sign-off.

You will also be asked to bring along a minimum core of essential oils as well as encouraged to bring along your essential oil collection if you wish, to expand the group’s knowledge through playing with new ideas. We will take a close-up look at the benefits of essential oils and how they can improve the quality of life for a person living with dementia, explore gentle massage techniques, and prescribe essential oils in different mediums to best suit a client’s needs safely in a dementia informed way. Although participants would benefit from attending Nicolle’s Massaging Persons Living with Dementia course first, it is not a pre-requisite.
