london school of cardiothoracics
The London School of Cardiothoracics was started by surgical juniors with the
assistance of consultant colleagues at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. Founded in
2014, LSOC has grown to become a national training organisation, co-ordinating
over 15 courses to over 200 participants.
The school’s aims are to:
* Facilitate exposure to the world of Cardiothoracics
* Improve the basic knowledge and understanding of Cardiothoracic surgical
procedures
* Teach and improve basic cardiothoracic surgical skills
* Facilitate MDT discussions and learning among Cardiologists, Anaesthetists
and Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
