Hello, I’m Paula Mateo and I'm an artisan soap, skincare and home fragrance maker. I'm passionate about all things natural and nurturing, which is why I started Old Bexley Soap & Candle Co and started selling my lovingly made creations in 2014. Since then, my small business has gone from strength to strength. To reflect my ethos, all ingredients used are carefully sourced to produce the best quality products and are suitable for vegetarians and often vegans too. I now love sharing my passion for soap and candle making with my courses. I experience real joy and a sense of pride when I inspire others to create their own products, designed to care for their body, mind and soul. I have tutored hundreds of students in both group and bespoke one-to-one courses. Whether you want to come along and learn just for fun or because you are serious about starting your own brand, I can take you by the hand through the process.

Earl of East is creative business founded by Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin in 2014. What started out as a shared passion project, has grown organically from side-hustle to a business with a team of 18 located in London. A love of fragrance and a desire to build something of our own led us to develop our own line of home fragrance products, which has since expanded from just three candles to a line that encompasses, candles, incense, home mists and bath and body products, all of which are produced by us in London. We now have over 230 stockists worldwide and in September 2019 we launched our debut book, "The Scented Candle Workshop" with Kyle Books in the UK and USA.

She has a moderately healthy obsession with candles. Emily Lynam started out as a home accessories and beauty buying manager for top retailers. After traveling the world developing products, she decided it was time to launch her own new venture. Emily formed the idea for Yougi when in India doing a yoga training. Yougi brings the beauty of fragrance and ritual to every moment at home.

Learning for Life has had an incredible journey since it began in 1994. The initial idea, developed by Charlotte Bannister-Parker and Sophia Swire, was to help develop girls’ education in India and Pakistan. Almost 30 years on, we have expanded our vision and commitment, working with street and working children, as well as impoverished communities across South Asia, in Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
