Description Reflexology uses many techniques to manipulate reflex zones found in the feet, of which correspond to a specific body part. The zones have been mapped and this enables the Reflexologist to treat the whole body via these reflex zones on the feet. The treatment is primarily used for the stimulation of all bodily systems and aiding relaxation. Reflexology is performed frequently within the Health Service personnel and has a role in comforting and supporting terminally ill patients. This 5 day VTCT Course leads to practitioner status, focusing on providing you with knowledge of the principles of reflexology, competence in dealing with clients, correct use of consultation techniques and good use of planning treatments. I have a relaxed and informative approach to working with acrylics and mixed media and other techniques. I was a professional muralist for 11 years, specialising in trompe l'oeil (trick of the eye) techniques.  Although photo realism painting in acrylics was essential in creating a painting illusion, I have also worked more recently with impasto and mixed media using acrylics which is an enjoyable and liberating experience. This day introduces you to EATS and is a good foundation in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). You will learn different terminology used in the specialism; the difference between complexity of devices; key concepts related to implementing and making AAC work; how and when to refer to the specialist service and other essential knowledge needed to work in this area. The session is a good mix of theory and practical activities, and the day concludes with a generous interactive session for all to have a chance to have hands on experience with many devices and communication tools.
