Blue CSCS Card NVQ Level 2 Craft This qualification provides you with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge, skills and understanding in their chosen craft. You will have the relevant experience in one of the trade specific areas. You will work in one of the following areas: Trowel Occupations (Bricklayer) Building Maintenance Painting and Decorating Wall and Floor Tiling Stone Masonry Wood Occupations (site Carpentry) Plastering Roofing Induction - As soon as you register you will be given a dedicated assessor. They will arrange an induction and together with your assessor, you will get to decide on the pathway which best proves your competency. The induction is used to plan out how you will gather the relevant evidence to complete the course. During the course - The assessor will work with you to build a portfolio of evidence that allows you to showcase your knowledge, skills and experience. The assessor will also regularly review and provide you with feedback. This will allow you to keep on track to progress quickly. You will be assessed through various methods such as observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion, and witness testimonials. On completion - Once all feedback has been agreed, the Internal Quality Assurer will review your portfolio and in agreement with your assessor the certificate will be applied for. How can I use reflection to improve my practice

The Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (RQF) is intended for assessors who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment. This qualification introduces learners to the principles and practices of assessment and assessing occupational competence in the work environment. If you will also assess knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or training environment), we recommend that you complete the full CAVA certificate, click here. If you do not have access to assess learners in the workplace, we recommend the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement, click here. The NVQ Diploma in Senior Construction Management Qualification is suited to those who are engaged in high level management activity of a construction business and who working in a senior management role and are seeking to obtain the Black CSCS Card. The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), formerly known as the A1 certificate is a recognised qualification that is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace, (such as workshops, classrooms or other education and training settings). If you do not have access to assess in the workplace, consider the Award rather than the certificate. It provides the essential knowledge and understanding that assessment staff need, as well as the opportunity to practice assessment skills – followed by in-depth feedback and development goals from a highly experienced assessor. The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of vocational assessor. The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a vocational assessor. This qualification is designed for learners aged 19 years or older and will support you to gain employment as a vocational assessor, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. This is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environment). Entry onto this qualification will require you to have full competence in the vocational subject area that you will be assessing and you will need access to a cohort of learners, so that you can gather evidence of real assessments. This qualification includes units covering the principles and practices of assessment, assessing learners' occupational competence in the work place and assessing vocational skills, and knowledge and understanding of education and training. This qualification is the only Level 3 certificate offered by VTCT in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

The Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) -Compacting qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means you need to be employed to undertake this qualification. This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work in Compacting within the construction industry. You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification. This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.
