Live via Zoom. Fortnightly - 1/15/29 Oct, 12/26 Nov, 10 Dec - 6-8pm UK time Join artist Julie Galante for this course designed to nurture your creative practice. Together we’ll explore ways to create work that reflects your individual interests, passion, and point of view, no matter your experience level. The course content is delivered over six live Zoom sessions, in a small, welcoming group with plenty of opportunities for interaction. Additionally, there will be optional (but highly recommended) assignments to complete in between the live sessions - assignments designed to get you stuck in to your creative practice in new and interesting ways. During each live session, there will be a demonstration focusing on a particular aspect of visual art - this will include various materials, subjects, and considerations such as composition, theme, mark-making, layering, and so on. We will also have a look at everyone’s recent creations, with celebration of the triumphs and suggestions for moving forward with work-in-progress. Together we’ll explore techniques including drawing, painting, mixed-media, and collage, but you don’t have to work exclusively in these media to take part - all creative disciplines are welcome. Each participant will be encouraged to deepen their explorations in whatever direction interests them most - be it a series of drawings, written reflections, sketches, collages, photographs, mixed-media pieces, or a unique, personal combination of all these. There will be an optional Facebook group for participants to stay connected and share their creations with each other between sessions. There will also be discounts available for other workshops and one-to-one mentoring. 

We discuss ideas and projects that use the arts to bring positive change to people who are or have been homeless. We are holding monthly global video meetings to give people in our network, or simply interested in arts and homelessness, a chance to get together remotely. The meetings are relaxed and fun and a place to share news, ideas and creativity. This year we are adding some amazing training sessions and professional development to the schedule. We are also cahnging from two sessions to just the one at 2pm every last wednesday of the month. Come and enjoy the space, learn some new things and maske some new friends.

Engaging your first young Trustees: Programme information session   Thursday 10 April, 2-3pm This free informal information session for museum staff and trustees aims to provide more information about the Kids in Museums programme to support you to recruit young Trustees at your museum, gallery or heritage organisation. Please note this programme is funded by Arts Council England. We have up to eight free places available for museums from England. If you are based in Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland, we may be able to accommodate you if we do not receive sufficient applications from English museums. In this session, you can:    Find out more about the programme, Hear about the impact the programme has had on the museums that took part 2024-25, Hear more about Kids in Museums programmes, our impact and how we work with wider museum sector, Ask any questions about the young Trustees programme.   This session will be one hour long and delivered on Zoom. If you require any adjustments to attend a session on Zoom, please let us know and we will find a way to support you.     Who should attend?  This session is for Trustees and staff from museums and heritage organisations who are interested in appointing young people aged 18-30 to their boards.  

Technical singing lessons tailored to the individual's needs and requests. This can cover fixing vocal issues or obstacles, developing and broadening technique and understanding how the voice works for all genres of music and singing styles. I utilise the Estill Model in my teaching as well as training and experience working with various singing teachers throughout the industry.

Bovendien zorgt het systeem ook dat je voldoet aan de eisen van de GDPR en privacywetgeving  In deze webinar gaan we in op Mailchimp, niet alleen omdat we hier als school zelf mee werken, maar ook omdat het platform gratis is zolang je minder dan 2000 adressen in het systeem zitten hebt. Voor beginnende kunstenaars en ontwerpers is dat dus een betaalbaar systeem.  In deze workshop belichten we verschillende aspecten van een mailing, adresformulieren en sjablonen. We zoomen ook in op de account van LUCA en wat dit betekent voor studenten en docenten van LUCA. De webinar staat open voor studenten, alumni en docenten van LUCA School of Arts.

Taking the twelve stages of Joseph Campbell's 'Hero's Journey' structure as a loose framework, this course offers the chance to write about themes such as risk, desire for change, resistance to change, travel, and encounters with others through a variety of prompts. There are opportunities to share your work, but no obligation.
