A private beginner embroidery workshop from Hoop & Fred tailored just for you!

Come along and join in the festive spirit. In this workshop you will be making a selection of willow and rush Xmas tree decorations. Including reindeer..add a red nose, Xmas trees...add a little tinsel snow to the top and a 10" rush angel for the top of your tree, plus stars, and mini wreath hoops. Festive snacks and a glass of mulled wine included. Please choose from the morning or afternoon session. 9.30am-12.30pm 1.30pm-4.30pm

1 day beginners bowl turning courses run every Thursday throughout the year for up to 4 students. These courses have proved very popular and give each student a good grounding in all the basic techniques and skills. Every student will take home a couple of handmade items to be proud of.

Youth Options offers bespoke programmes of learning for children and young people (either 1:1 or in groups). A relaxed and informal Blackwork Embroidery course in the lovely setting of a converted 18th Century cotton mill in Warwick Bridge, Carlisle. This course has been designed to guide the complete beginner or act as a refresher for those who may have dabbled in Blackwork embroidery in the past. We will cover the history, styles of Blackwork embroidery, threads and techniques.

Get together with friends and family and learn the art of building a beautiful hand-tied bouquet of the best seasonal flowers. Mix a gorgeous selection of flowers, fillers and foliage using the 'spiralling' technique used by the pros to make your bouquet and gain lots of flower hacks, tips and tricks along the way. We finish by tying, wrapping and presenting and you'll leave with your floral creation to enjoy at home and the ability to do it all again.
