About this event Life drawing is drawing from a nude live model, it is one of the most difficult subjects in art which is why it was used to learn how to draw in art schools for centuries. If you would like to master life drawing but don't know where to start this class can be very helpful in gaining an understanding of the basics. Covering all aspects of life drawing, measuring, light, tone, pencil control and more. Become proficient in all aspects of life drawing before you move on to a live model. About this event This class is going to look at portrait painting using photographs to explore how to achieve volume, we are currently working in Grisaille (many greys) and will go on to look at glazing and flesh tones in the upcoming months. This class has no model and intends to give some experience before moving on to the model. Please bring a canvas or board. It is also good to have your own paint brushes if possible. Some boards and canvas's are available to purchase if you are unable to get one in advance The works has boards, brushes and canvas for a few pounds. Millinery taster class You will be given a overview of millinery materials, techniques and styles and walk away with a fascinator.

Fun with felt flowers gives beginners all the basic information to learn felting around a resist. In the three and a half hours, students will make two different flowers, using different techniques, along with different centres. Workshops start at 10am. I can teach up to nine people here and I can also travel within 20 miles if someone wants a group of friends (minimum 5 participants) in their own house or school. Fabulous idea for a hen party! Please note, though, I do charge mileage. If you have a larger group (say WI or class parents) I am happy to run workshops for up to 20 people in your own venue. My workshops are not timetabled, so there is a great deal of flexibility on dates - just get in touch and we'll sort out a day to suit us both!Please also check out my other listings for Workshops in a Wallet.
