We are a social enterprise formed in June 2019 to benefit the community. Our studio is based at the Callendar Square Shopping Centre in Falkirk to benefit the community. In our spacious studio, we provide the right environment to promote sewing and other creative art and craft activities for newcomers, women, children, minority groups including ethnic minorities, LGBTI and anyone who feels they would benefit from inclusion in the project. Ubuntu is our founding principle which speaks to our interconnection as people; I am, because you are because we are. We believe that one person cannot be successful if we are not all successful, if one person is excluded we are all missing out. Ubuntu sits at the heart of our approach to creating and nurturing a community. We facilitate and promote the environment for artists and craftspeople to thrive and for community members to develop and learn new skills, end isolation, develop social networks, work with people and engage them to create projects of their design, and we believe that everything fits, be that people coming together or fabrics being sewn together.

D2 The Creative Centre is a multi-purpose arts centre located in Larbert which houses a large teaching studio, a fantastic exhibition space and 14 artists studios. I have such passion for the beauty industry and love what I do! Beauty therapists (and hairdressers) have the most rewarding careers it has been stated. I couldn’t agree more! I gained my HND Beauty Therapy Qualification in 2001 from Central College of Commerce to allow me to work in an industry I loved. Since then I have worked continually to increase my skills and qualifications yearly by attending University (distance learning), nail and beauty courses, seminars, workshops and trade events. 15 years working in the beauty industry has made my career evolve and it continues to be a rewarding vocation. carol hendrie Where it all began My journey started in 1998 by doing night classes at college while working on cosmetic counters specialising in make-up. I worked in salons then went on to become a Business Manager for Clarins, beauty manager at The McDonald Inchyra hotel before becoming a salon owner in Falkirk for nearly 4 years. It was then when I specialised in acrylic and gel nail extensions as well as providing beauty treatments. I started teaching in 2003 at Forth Valley College whilst running my salon. After nearly 4 successful years in business a full time teaching opportunity arose in one of Scotland’s leading Colleges and I was the happiest girl alive when I got offered the full time position! Since 2006 I have gained the assessor and verifier award before developing my academic skills further completing a Degree in Professional Development (BAPD) at Aberdeen University whilst working in 2016 following on from my teaching qualification (TQFE) in 2011. Nail, Beauty and Make-up Courses in Falkirk The passion, experience and skills I have gained in the beauty industry and academically over 15 years has lead me to this point. I love teaching nails and beauty and find it so rewarding to see people achieve personal goals. I have taught thousands of students over the years and believe I can give you the best experience possible. I want to make you the best you can be through guidance and support even after you have trained. Whether it is to start a brand new career or to develop new or previously learned skills I can help you on your journey. The unique teaching experience I will provide is delivered to a small group with a maximum of 8. This ensures the learning experience is of a high quality, attention to detail and it will allow each individual to have the support they require to develop their skills.

Monument Dance Centre was founded in 1983 under the name Monument Ballet School by Louise Murray. In 1992 the school the school got a permanent location in Causewayhead in a converted barn, after which it was renamed Monument Dance Centre. The building has continued to expand and in the 2000's multiple outreach branches were opened across the Stirling area.

Falkirk Martial Arts Academy is a Founder Member of Satori Ryu Martial Arts Association and we teach Traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu and B3 Balintawak.The club started in Hallglen Sports Centre in 2013 when I moved back to my home town after nearly 30 years away. We enjoyed a good few years at Hallglen until they closed it and then, in January 2019, we opened Falkirk Martial Arts Academy at our current location.Our Ju Jitsu classes are on 4 nights per week, Monday to Thursday and we have Junior classes for 5 to 11 years old, Youth classes for the 12 to 15 years old and Senior classes for 16 years old +. Our B3 Balintawak classes are on a Monday night from 8 till 9pm. However, due to the nature of the Art and what is taught, this is only available to Seniors. We also have seminars at the Academy with invited Instructors of higher grades or from other styles which offers our Students an opportunity to expand on their martial arts knowledge. There are also further opportunities for the Students to travel to other clubs for Seminars to gain a wider understanding of their Art or find out what else is out their to be learnt.
