This course is designed to provide a basic introduction to dog grooming, it is the building blocks for an excellent career in dog grooming providing both the practical skills and the theory behind dog grooming Dog Grooming Assistants course gives you the basic skills you need to start working in a dog grooming environment under supervision.  THE COURSE WILL COVER Correct handling and lifting of dogs Health checking of a dog Basic first aid Preparing and grooming dogs prior to bathing Bathing and cleaning dogs Drying dogs and preparing their coats for styling De-shedding techniques Introduction to basic styling Scissoring foot shapes Nail and ear care Cleaning and maintaining equipment used for grooming Maintain the cleanliness and bio security of the animal care working environment in-line with health and safety Guidance in client relations and salon management Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads. It is highly recommended that upon completion of this course, you continue onto completing the 20 Day Commercial Stylist Course. As you will have already completed 8 days of training, we can offer you a fantastic discount on the remaining 12 days of training and it includes a Pet First Aid course and certificate. Dog/Puppy training taster session at Ruby's Yard, The Boat Yard, Slack’s Avenue, Atherstone, England, CV9 2AR. These 20 minute sessions will run a couple of times a year. Intended to give you information about my dog training courses.

Full qualification in dog groomer training based in Hove

This course is an introduction to styling dogs. You will spend 15 full days on site doing practical learning with our fabulous dog models and tutors. There are 5 written modules, grooming diaries and 2 practical assessments at the end of the 15 days. This qualification is aimed to take students on a journey from complete beginners to be able to groom a selection of breeds.

This course is designed to provide you with the required skills to either become employed in a dog grooming environment or set up your own grooming business.  At an appropriate time during your training, you will be given the option to pursue a nationally accredited qualification in addition to those detailed above. You may, of course, choose to complete the training only and not gain a qualification other than the ones included. The course will cover: The preparation, styling and finishing of dogs Preparation for practical assessments Theory study support Students will receive all course materials and it is recommended that students bring along a camera for before and after photographs as well as pens, high-lighters and notepads. COURSE LENGTH: 20 Days consisting of our Salon Assistant Course (below) plus an additional 12 days of clipping and styling training

This course covers the basics of dog grooming. In addition to 5 days at our school, there are 2 written modules, grooming diaries and 1 assessment at the end of the 5 days. The 5 days on this course count as part of the 15 day Certificate or the 30 day Diploma if you wish to upgrade. This qualification is aimed to introduce students to dog grooming, and give you a taste of what being a dog groomer could be.
