Catheter care training is aimed at people working in health and care settings. The course provides staff members with the knowledge and understanding on performing safe changing and emptying of catheter bags.

Areas of focus will include how to be safe on a night out, and also how to handle injuries specific to film sets (burns, electrocution, etc.) This is fantastic information to have both for your professional development and personal life. This in-depth training course, you will deepen your knowledge of the lifestyle and biological factors that cause strokes, how to recognise the signs of a stroke attack, stroke first aid procedures and post-stroke care provision.

Our Bowel Care training will enable learners to deliver effective and thorough support to individuals who have difficulty managing their bowel habits due to immobility or illness. Bowel Care training is aimed at support workers with no experience of bowel care and can also be attended by nurses who may like to update their knowledge.

The course concentrates on management skills and techniques for creating an effective supervisory relationship and process. Emphasis is placed on interpersonal skills. Course Aims: • To provide participants with the skills necessary, knowledge and values that underpin effective supervision • Understand what supervision is • Describe the role of the supervisor • Describe how to develop other supervisors • Plan for effective supervision • Identify techniques to use during supervision sessions

The first Club and Community Forum will be held online on September 30th, 7-8pm. We'll discuss: Introduction to the forum and gathering your expectations. Active Lancashire and Sport Welfare Officer roles. Creating positive club and community cultures. Future forum plans and your input. The forum aims to connect people, share experiences, and promote best practices. We look forward to a successful first meeting.

The main subject areas of the course are: Setting up of microscopes. Filter preparation, fibre counting and outline of air sampling equipment. Calculation of results, quality control, reporting and communication.

School age children can enroll onto our Beginners, Intermediate or Advance Level swimming lessons. At the majority of these lessons, the teacher is in the water for best teaching practice and support. At Beginners Level, an assistant may help in the water. At more Advance Level, the teacher may instruct and supervise the group lesson from poolside. Nervous swimmers are introduced to move around the pool with buoyancy aids in a group. Your teacher will help your child to develop confidence and submerge the face in the water from the first lesson.
