The MasterPiece Studio

We began the Masterpiece journey back in 2001 and having outgrown two studios we have been well settled at Holmes Hill for several years, overlooking the lake and next door to Happy Days Café. A family run business, Masterpiece is well established in the local area and we have many Masterpiece friends who form a regular customer base, some of whom have been crafting at Masterpiece since we opened. Several of our first children's birthday parties were held for customers who are now bringing their own children to us for hand and footprint keepsakes, its lovely to keep in touch as we adapt our crafts to suit all ages. We have a thriving adult customer base something we regard as a great achievement,, dispelling the myth that pottery painting is only for the youngsters. All of the crafts we have added to the studio are fun, sociable and relaxing activities for all ages and although many adults pick the quieter times of the week, for most it is a well looked forward to 'me time' activity, great for a family get together or celebration.

Bramcote College Sixth Form, part of Bramcote College and of the White Hills Park Trust, is situated in the village of Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, alongside Green Flag awarded parkland and just off the main road connecting the cities of Nottingham and Derby, with excellent transport links to the cities and to the local surrounding areas. We offer a full range of A Level subjects as well as Level 3 applied and vocational options across multiple subject areas to meet the learning needs of a variety of student profiles. We pride ourselves in knowing every student as an individual as well as the importance we place on inclusion through our robust pastoral system. A large proportion of Year 11 students from both Alderman White School and Bramcote College opt to stay with us for their post-16 education, and many students join us in Year 12 from other schools. We are exceptionally proud of the BC6F results. Over the past four years we have been in the top 25% of 6th Forms in Nottinghamshire. Hi, my name is Jo Roberts. I'm a CYQ Level 3 qualified Matwork Pilates instructor. I started Pilates - Body, Mind and Soul as a natural development of a lifetime's interest in exercise. I first studied dance as a child and as I became older went on to experiment with many different fitness regimes. This interest became a vocation and I have spent the last 15 years teaching and working with children and adults. Showing them that exercise can be both rewarding and fun. Qualifying as a Pilates Instructor taught me how the human body needs to be nurtured, and that even the simplest of exercises can provide the most amazing results. Being a mum of two, I know full well how our lives can become so preoccupied that we often forget to take care of ourselves. Join me and learn how to develop inner strength through a manageable exercise regime that will reward your efforts perhaps more than you could imagine.

JustMaths was founded by Dermot Cook in 1991 and has been running for over 30 years. Dermot started his career as a maths teacher and pursued his passion and love of maths by opening his own Grinds School. A former member of the National Council of the Irish Maths Teachers Association ( IMTA ) and Chairperson of the Dublin branch, Dermot has contributed to many maths text books used in schools such as Concise Maths. JustMaths, formally known as the Mathematical Tutorial Center has gone from strength to strength and is regarded as a centre of excellence in maths. Places are in high demand for all levels of tuition. Dermot caters for students of all abilities in combination with the excellent tutors working for JustMaths. He prides himself on communicating with parents, guardians and students to find the best approach to learning and maximising results.

At APEX Education we offer an education based alternative provision to meet a variety of needs across Somerset , Devon and Dorset. We offer bespoke educational packages that are designed to stimulate and re-engage hard to reach young people for whom more traditional mainstream school, PRU’s or other alternative provisions have not been successful. We believe that for some young people who have a historical negative perception of education our services can be life-changing. Each young person who we work with is seen as a unique individual – who will require a bespoke educational package that will meet their needs. We have forged close links with a variety of other alternative education providers and through these are able to offer Vocational education, Forest School and a variety of Sports based activities. If appropriate our staff will support young people in attending these services and transport can be arranged. Our provision is lead by qualified experienced teachers who understand the difficulties faced by some young people. Our staff are both highly trained and resilient as well as being resourceful and imaginative. They are often able to engage and work with extremely challenging behaviours and achieve positive outcomes. We have close links to a number of other Educational establishments and are able to assist and support with College transitions.
