“Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.” - Plato Our Music Production Masterclass is a 2-day course led by music producer and Musical Theatre student, Jack Howells Davies, alongside a secondary Music Production tutor (TBC). With experience in music technology, composing, producing music for video, film scoring, composition and more, Jack’s expertise will help guide budding music producers on their journey to creating amazing music for a variety of formats.  Jack is currently studying a BA in Musical Theatre at the Conservatoire, and also has professional training at Hurtwood House, Guildford School of Acting and Stagecoach in a number of musical styles and genres, as well as experience in musical theatre audition technique, so he is a great asset to our teaching faculty who can advise in a number of areas. When you join this 2-day intensive course, you’ll learn the art of production which can help every type of creative to showcase their musical talents in the best way. This course will help students develop skills to produce music for outlets such as film and television soundtracks, and music videos, and musicians will even have the opportunity to write and play contemporary music for performance. ‍ WHEN AND WHERE? The Music Production Masterclass takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. Anaphylaxis and Autoinjectors Anaphylaxis is an extreme and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction, which results in rapid chemical changes in the body. In the UK it is estimated that almost 20% of the population is affected by at least one allergic disorder. Anaphylaxis is characterised by quickly developing life-threatening airway, breathing and/or circulation problems. The swelling and tightening of the airway cause breathing difficulties and/or a sudden fall in blood pressure, which can lead to dizziness and fainting. Autoinjectors offer fast-acting relief to somebody suffering an anaphylactic reaction. The successful administration of a device can prevent serious consequences and provide enough time for emergency services to attend and treat the sufferer. Highfield’s Anaphylaxis and Autoinjector Short Course is designed to help you understand the risks of a severe allergic reaction and how to administer emergency treatment. The course outlines how anaphylaxis can be caused by a broad range of ‘triggers’, such as insect stings, foods, for example nuts and shellfish, latex and medicines, such as penicillin. Learners will also learn how to recognise the symptoms, identify how to administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from anaphylaxis and has the potential to save a life.

Do you have a little one that loves dancing, singing & acting? Why not book them a place at one of our BP Theatre Camps this holiday?   Struggling to think of ways to keep the kids entertained? BP to the rescue! Your children will learn new skills, be engaged, make new friends and most importantly….have BAGS OF FUN!   Our camp offers the children a chance to build their confidence in a friendly environment. We encourage kids to be their best not the best. How does the day run? We start the day with our welcome talk & ice breaker games – this is a great way for the children to ease into the day and get to know each other. Once we have made some new friends we move onto livening up our bodies with dance, after this energetic session we take a well deserved morning break. Singing is up next followed by lunch – a much needed chance to refuel after a very busy morning. The afternoon then consists of drama tasks, arts & crafts, afternoon break and plenty of games.   Each session (dance, singing & drama) consist of a warm up, technique and working towards a final piece that we complete by the end of the day.   Our aim is for each child to leave daily with the biggest smile on their face and feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.
