Artistic Rebellion is a playful, political and multidisciplinary theatre company, making new work about inequality, social norms and human connection. Based in Sweden & England, Artistic Rebellion create heartbreakingly raw, surprising and entertaining shows with an international outlook. Artistic Rebellion was formed in London by Linn Johansson and Matthew Coulton in 2019. Both received a rigorous training from the Complicité-associated BA (Hons) Acting: Collaborative & Devised Theatre course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, as well as post-graduate training in Sweden. They bring their experience of ensemble, devised and physical/movement based theatre together with new writing and original music, creating a process based on collective, interdisciplinary and international collaboration. Working with psycho physical techniques influenced by Jacques Lecoq, Michael Chekhov, modern neuroscience, Kristin Linklater, and others, Artistic Rebellion strives for telling imaginative, diverse and unheard stories. Previous productions (“Lillhjrtat och Gosedjuren” - Varberg Festival 2018, Sweden; and “Made From Love” - first developed as part of Fertility Fest 2019 at The Barbican, London, and then performed at Camden People’s Theatre, London in 2020) have been described as “awe-inspiring”, “brave” and “funny”.

As well as leading workshops and group singing classes James teaches privately offering lessons for adults and children; both professional and amateur. As well as fundamental singing technique James also focuses on interpretation and acting through song to enhance the performance of songs for all styles. Some pupils take singing and music theatre exams maintaining a 100% pass rate. James offers assistance with audition preparation and applications for vocational colleges and professional courses. I also provide lessons for clients who purely just love singing, there's no judgment or pressure to do anything just turn up and have fun singing with live piano accompaniment; any style, completely flexible and up to the individual. Who We Are & Where We Are High Peak School is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014.Our specialist multi-disciplinary team of leaders, carers, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together. They teach and proactively support pupils who have been subjected to adverse childhood experiences, including trauma, toxic stress and associated mental wellbeing difficulties, aiming to break the cycle of adversity. Children and young people may also come to us because they are challenged by attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and dyspraxia or moderate and specific learning difficulties. We have a specific provision within the school called the Quiet Learning Zone where we support children and young people who have an autistic spectrum condition including Asperger’s syndrome and those who have communication and sensory difficulties. The environment and teaching approaches are bespoke and tailored to ensure our children and young people thrive and can develop their self-esteem. We have extensive experience of supporting those with attachment disorders or those who have been victims of abuse and neglect. We actively encourage the development of life skills such as staying safe, acting responsibly and being respectful whether that be at school, at home or in the local community. I Studied Acting At Stella Adler Studio In New York City. Whilst In NYC, I Was Chosen To Work On Behalf Of The Student Outreach Team That Held Regular Workshops In Schools Around New York. This Experience Led Me To Start Making Puppets And Perform Traditional Folk Stories In Local Children’s Bookshops Around New York City. How Did You Become Passionate About Childcare?
