Have a great time in the warmest and most welcoming space to try things out: Refresh an audition monologue from your repertoire Try something new with a speech Read a monologue for the first time Perhaps you just want to see how others approach a text. Or maybe you have a casting coming up… Participants may present a piece to the group, we then help to enhance the piece using the collective experience in the room, led by actor and acting coach Warren Rusher. We usually get through 6 or 7 pieces per month. Help each other to grow… you might have the perfect exercise or insight to help unlock a deeper understanding of character and text. There is no pressure to perform, you can just soak up the atmosphere and be part of the experience. Some energy analysts have forecast that global production of oil and natural gas will have to decline annually by 4 to 6 percent in order to meet the global target of Net Zero Emissions by 2050. Oil and gas producers face a difficult challenge in deciding upon the strategy and measures that will best achieve targets set for them while maintaining supply, attracting investments and accessing markets. This 2-day training course will provide participants with an understanding of the strategies and measures for decarbonizing the Upstream Oil and Gas sector within the framework of measures implemented by individual governments through their respective commitments to reduce emissions to achieve their National Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement. The Science of Acting The Science of Acting was founded by Sam Kogan, influenced by Maria Knebel; his teacher, who herself was a student of Stanislavski. The curriculum of the Science of Acting is founded on 4 principles: Freedom from Gods or Idols - Only once you learn to think for yourself will you be able to be free on stage. Right and Wrong - Statements such as ‘there is no right or wrong in acting’, or ‘you either have it or you don’t’ are common in Drama Education. But if this were true, there would be no point to a drama school, or to dramatic training of any kind. The Science of Acting therefore is based on a technique the knowledge of which has proven to give actors the training to be able to create inspiring acting. Quality of Acting - We believe that the best acting occurs when actors are able to use the right type of imagination (which we all have); that being active as opposed to passive imagination, which few actors are aware of or know how to use. Terminology or The Meaning of Words - For a group of actors to create the context of stories and therefore entertain, a common understanding through language in all its forms is necessary. This enables each individual actor to be free in their uniqueness, whilst creating a totality for the audience.
