Wing Chun Kung Fu - Student Grades 1-4

By Wing Chun International Bedford

Welcome to your very first step into the Wing Chun Kung Fu system and our organisation Wing Chun International. It is important to note our Beginners Programme is in fact known as "Phase 1 -Beginners" Phase 1- Beginners on average takes 8 months to complete before moving on to Phase 2 known as "Phase 2 - Intermediate". We have designed and structured our programmes and lessons in such a way for students to gain the knowledge and tools to protect themselves from day one, with each lesson and rotation building on the last rotation. We do this by breakdown Phase 1 - Beginners into a two month rotation curriculum where we repeat the same programme every 2 months, 4 times to make the 8 months. Each time the student repeats a rotation his/her;s understanding and ability will improve plus each grade has a slight different focus and testing. This means in Phase 1 - Beginners we have 4 levels or better known as student Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4. Here within this online lesson we are primary focused on what the student MUST know in order to pass each of the rotations with this lesson being the 1st Student Grade. We do highly recommend student upgrade if not already and purchase the whole of the Phase 1 - Beginners programme rather than just purchase what they will be tested within each grades.

Driving Innovation from Within - A Guide for Employees and Organizational Leaders

By IIL Europe Ltd

Driving Innovation from Within - A Guide for Employees and Organizational Leaders 'Innovation' brings to mind the maverick entrepreneur who quits their job, at unimaginable odds, to build a business on their own. But this entrepreneurial story is a myth. As a successful entrepreneur, author, consultant and CEO, Kaihan Krippendorff argues that intrapreneurs - employees who incubate new businesses within corporations - have had a far greater impact on the world. Nearly all of the most transformative innovations over the past three decades, from e-mail and the Internet to DNA sequencing and MRI scans, were introduced by employees who did not quit their jobs but instead took the challenge of innovating from within. Drawing on five years of in-depth research of hundreds of successful innovators and Intrapreneurial Intensity, as well as insights from thought leaders, C-suite leaders, business unit leaders, and front-line employees, Kaihan will share exclusive insights from his book, Driving Innovation From Within: A Guide for Internal Entrepreneurs (Columbia University Press, 2019). In this inspiring keynote, you will learn about: The IN-OVATE Framework The seven barriers of internal innovation and how to overcome them The six characteristics of Internal Innovators The seven steps to build an agile innovation team How to disrupt your competition without disrupting your business What it takes to lead an innovative organization and drive transformation How to shift your organizational mindset and culture How to build a wave of internal support for growth, innovation and creativity by reinforcing the idea that innovation is possible, attainable, and ultimately actionable

The 14 BFO's (Blinding Flashes of the Obvious) Putting People (REALLY) First

By IIL Europe Ltd

The 14 BFO's (Blinding Flashes of the Obvious) Putting People (REALLY) First Autumn of 1985. It had been a grueling two days. A Manhattan seminar for 'YPO,' the Young Presidents Organization. They cut me no slack, and demanded my full attention, almost [drop the 'almost'] literally '24/7.' But it had gone well. Now it was coming to an end. And I wanted feedback. One guy I'd had really intense-and I thought terrific-exchanges with was Manny Garcia. He was either the biggest, or one of the top five, Burger King franchisees-he more or less 'owned' South Florida, with, as I recall, well over 100 shops. Manny put up his hand and I nodded in his direction. He began, 'Well, Tom, two long days-and I didn't learn one damn new thing.' Collectively people snapped to attention. As for me, call the ambulance and EMTs. Then he continued, 'I learned nothing new, but it was pretty clearly the best seminar I've ever attended. It amounted to a blinding flash of the obvious.' A BLINDING FLASH OF THE OBVIOUS: THE 'BFOs' ARE BORN.Manny continued, 'This 'excellence' thing is not rocket science, it's things we all know we should be doing. But somehow we get sidetracked. I am now determined I'm going home and putting on the front burner what in fact ought to be on the front burner.' Manny's comments stuck. And stick to this day. No rocket science. 'Obvious' 'stuff' that gets lost somehow, somewhere, amidst the cacophony of daily affairs.

M&A Beyond Day One: What They Don't Teach You

By IIL Europe Ltd

M&A Beyond Day One: What They Don't Teach You When merging and acquiring organizations there are many factors to consider - not all aspects of M&A activity are reserved for senior executive leadership teams, private equity companies and legal teams. There are the obvious aspects that require blending from both companies; from finances, people/teams to the corporate image and company culture. Consider all of the aspects of an organization that exist just to run the normal course of business. Then consider all of the similar aspects of another organization that is being merged into another organization! It can be a daunting task that requires skillful organization and consideration of aspects of M&A that 'they don't teach you about'. Ben Chodor, President, Intrado Digital Media shares his personal journey of excitement and freedom from selling his first company to the experience of 'now what!?' post-sale and how he was able to navigate the big changes, build company culture, shift roles from owner to employee and take on the 'new normal' at the new organization. M&A is much more than just a financial decision People and culture cannot be overlooked Successful integration is not just HR, Finance and facilities
