This course is a recognised route into the gas industry without having an NVQ or apprenticeship in plumbing and/or gas. Before you can start your Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) domestic initial assessment you will need to complete the MLP course if you do not hold any current gas qualifications. This course is approved by IGEM and is certificated by LCL Awards.

Following on from previous residential weekends, we are planning a follow up day on 27th September to embed the learnings from the weekend and support you in planning next steps. The day will give you the space and time to look back at the key LYCiG principles, celebrate what God is doing, review any changes or plans you have made and plan your next steps. There will be plenty of opportunity to work with your church group, facilitated by our leaders. We have run this session for a number of years now and it has always been a seen as a valuable opportunity. I very much hope that you will be able to join us for this. The session will begin at 10am with drinks and pastries and will end with a sandwich lunch at 1pm. Course Introduction Our Venepuncture and Phlebotomy training equips delegates with the skills and knowledge needed to take blood safely. Please note: this course is for health care professionals and nurses only. About this event Applicable to Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists in primary care, the community, hospitals or nursing homes, this course is interactive and involves a demonstration session on performing blood tests. Join artist Julie Galante for an afternoon of homemade botanical inks made from foraged plants and kitchen scraps. In 2023 Julie dove into ink-making, producing more than 300 inks from over 100 different botanical sources. In this three-hour workshop, Julie will share what she’s learned from all these inky experiments, giving you the skills and knowledge to create your own library of botanical colours. She'll share her core learnings, including the best ways to extract colours, the best plants to use, and how to preserve and store your inks. We'll also cover different ways of finishing your inks depending on how you'd like to use them. Please note this workshop will take place in Julie's Stockbridge studio, which is accessible via three flights of stairs. We will also spend part of the workshop foraging outside, weather permitting, so please dress accordingly. Tea and coffee will be provided.
