Just done a part 1 plaster course and very happy. I wanted to learn more about lime plaster and different uses/ mixes which we covered in great detail. Clear explanations and a take away well produced booklet Practical plastering of our own wall with base and finishing coat was very satisfying. Will return for other courses

I had trepidation about tacking the mortar on my property, but after attending the Introduction to Lime Mortar course, I'm much more confident. I was great to mix with both home owners and tradespeople on the course. It started with Ben and Kate giving a great presentation with lots of interruptions from us about the history, types and usages of limes. We then got down to the practical side and learnt about mixing, applying and finishing the mortar in various bricks.

Have just done the Lime Pointing course and thought it was excellent. Ben is a very good trainer with an obvious passion for the subject as well as extensive knowledge. Explained technicalities in simple terms, but went into more detail if we were interested, even though some of it wa stuff that would be OK to not know or forget! I'd thoroughly recommend and will be returning for the Lime Plastering course too!

I joined the 2 day lime plastering course (Level 1) with Ben and Kate from Carrington Lime, and it was excellent! I had a bit of understanding of lime before the course but came away from the two days with lots more information, as well as all the hands-on experience from working on my own practice wall. I now feel confident that we should be able to do the lime plastering works on our own cottage.

We both went for the 1 day lime mortaring course: highly recommended. We had virtually zero prior skills, but now feel fully empowered to have a go at sorting out a crumby old wall. Great facilities for a small group (there were 8 of us) to all be learning and getting solid hands-on practice. Ben and Kate both very friendly and *very* knowledgable - a thoroughly enjoyable day!
