For anyone passionate about Cuban dances and culture, and more specifically Afrocuban dances, this festival is an absolute must do. I was looking for intensive training in Afrocuban dances and I definitely received more than what I had anticipated. The organisation and quality of teaching was beyond my expectations. 5 stars without a doubt! What a spectacular event, and that’s on the back of having participated in several other dance weekenders/ holidays. Lauda Pau’s Afro event was up there as one of the best. You really got a sense of the passion and pride that all of the musicians and teachers have about their culture, and more importantly transmitting it to others.
