I have been training Capoeira with Joel for about a month. He is really passionate about this martial art, so his classes are extremely enjoyable. Every class consist of a bit of music, culture, history and of course a lot of capoeira movements and mobility skills. I highly recommend this classes for everyone, especially for beginners, as Joel is super patient and adapts his technic to all levels.

I tried Capoeira with different teachers and I think Joel really has something special about his teaching style.. he is inclusive, sensitive, attentive, encouraging. Joel is good at teaching as he breaks down moves and caters to your individual level. He has patience and explains and demonstrates to simplify what he is teaching. He, himself is a strong, knowledgeable and experienced capoeirista and he has a friendly and caring nature. I would definitely recommend his classes, whatever your level, as they are fun and fulfilling.

There is the philosophy of being in the moment and the connection you develop with the people you play with. And the music is awesome as well! Joel is a fantastic teacher, highly recommend
