  • Bought a workshop here as a birthday gift, and received an automatic confirmation, but then had a cancellation email and refund a couple of days later with no explanation. I'd emailed initially to ask about receiving a gift voucher, and again to query the cancellation, but never had a response to either- pretty dsappointing especially as this looks like a great local business.

  • It's been a good 15 years since I was in a darkroom but I'd been wanting to get back in and rebuild my confidence in it. I could not have asked for a better experience or better instructor than Dan. He was extremely flexible with my timings and the whole experience was amazing.   • Dan is extremely knowledgeable and was an excellent teacher. I took the darkroom begginers course and genuinely was doing full prints without assistance by the end of the session. The equipment and space are well looked after and there is a lot of forethought into what you will be doing that day.   • Some mates and I recently did Dan's full day darkroom printing course and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Dan's a great teacher and covers everything in good detail, with a lot of time for questions and moving at your own pace. The day starts with the dev process, learning how to fix your film outside the darkroom (so you can do it anywhere), and then you move on to working with the enlarger after that.
