  • Calcot has so much potential but I have to say I was slightly underwelmed. The facilities are good, driving range, nets, short game area and large putting green. The club house is showing its age and desperately could do with an overhaul. I ate in the club house before my round, food was very average. The course condition was above fair and the greens very tricky and super quick which provided a great challenge. The layout on the front 9 is quite congested and there is a gathering of greens ...

  • Greens are ultra fast with super difficult pin positions (either all on ridges, slopes or within 8ft of a bunker, making it unfortunately just too hard even for accomplished golfers.

  • Very nice course. Unfortunately we played on a very cold and very wet day. As a result I'd like to play again and hopefully.enjoy it more.

  • Peace and tranquility so close to Reading centre. Nice course with variety of holes and great half way house and excellent food available in the Clubhouse. Excellent staff and made very welcome. Would like to play again once we have more rain to 'green up' the fairways.

  • When the starter has a Green Starters Jacket, you known it’s a good quality course. Very mature tree lined parkland course with an easy walk, undulating fairway, dogleg holes, fairway bunkers, lateral ditches & water hazards therefore course management comes into play with true undulating greens. The greens, fairways & bunkers were all in good condition. Off the yellows its 5834 so it suits all handicap. It’s just the greens so fast. Driving nets, large practise putting chipping green.
