  • This was the most corrupted flying school when it was owned by Guinness group, I hope it has changed ever since.

  • CAE is not the best in the world...see below: I was removed from training after 6 months which cost me £10500 including a deposit of £500 for Phoenix accommodation. I was removed from the Bucks New Uni Course and am now faced with an overpayment of £6606.81 which I was relying on to get by through my pilot training with a zero income (with 5 children to support).   • I remember destroying the pilot assessment and aptitude tests there for a NetJets training contract, only to be told I was 'too wooden' in the interview notes and given a 1/5 on the personality test! Too wooden for what exactly - flying planes around safely? The real reason seemed to be they are quite elitist, and no doubt my strong northern accent and down to earth attitude clearly wasn't what the ex-RAF cronies were looking for at the time.
