  • Teaching was very repetitive, they seemed to be doing the same thing with him for 7 terms of fetching toys, backwards and forwards. Wasn’t ever that engaging. I left after my younger son started being taught at a different school and I was able to see a such a difference in teaching styles and engagement levels.

  • The best place to learn swimming in Brighton. The teachers and staff are professional and helpful however I found the staff who are working on Saturdays is more companionable. Especially, the girl who is in charge and organising us to get to the changing tents is extremely friendly. We did not like the female supervisor who is working on Sunday as being less helpful and unpleasant.

  • Highly recommend Brighton Swimming School for child and adult swimming lessons and courses. My son has learnt to swim with BSS and I have had adult lessons and joined the pool2pier course. The swimming pool has now re-opened (post COVID-19 lockdown), with health-and-safety / social distancing measures in place. These are well organised, and we saw them being effectively implemented by staff. Staff are present to greet you when you arrive and take your temperature. Face masks are worn by adult...

  • We had an intensive course in the summer of 2020 (during Corona). Really great! They're systems were really well thought out and the teacher was excellent. The bad reviews I think were from a while ago / different management. The guy running things now was great and my sons teacher was really good. My sons first swim lesson ever he said he thought it was "really fun" and the teacher progressed him at a good pace.

  • My two boys have been attending regularly for several years now .. what keeps us coming back is the quality of the teaching from the swim coaches ... Always multiple swim teachers, lifeguards and assistants in the water with little ones. Very professional setup. Changing rooms are cleaned and maintained very regularly. You can find slightly cheaper swim clubs but the teaching is usually voluntary from well meaning parents who don't always hold the qualifications.
