Breaking The Mould Pottery

Such a lovely morning with my mum for a birthday pottery lesson! Hayley was fun, informative and totally down to earth! We had tea, biscuits and made a personalised item that we glazed and spun a small pot on the wheel! Thank you so much for such a chilled and fun experience! 💕

I recently spent an afternoon working with Hayley from Breaking the Mould pottery in her purpose built studio. Having never done any pottery before Hayley explained everything I needed to know before we got down to some practical work. By the end of the afternoon I managed to turn a mug on the wheel, add a handle all under her expert guidance. I just have to tell you about the magical taster session I had with Hayley in her bespoke garden pottery studio. I thought it, rather I, was going to be a disaster, with imagines of clay flying off the wheel at high speed and Health & Safety getting involved, but thanks to expert tutelage I even managed to make something recognisable on my first go – probably one of my proudest moments of the year so far!
