About Boomhall Trust
Boomhall Estate is a place where 300 year-old oak trees overlook the historic site of the ‘Boom’. In 1689 King James II built a floating boom across the River Foyle to block supply ships from entering the City. Three months later the Boom was broken by King William III to lift the Siege of Derry and redirect the course of European history.
