Bookham Tennis Club

Having played at a different local club which was very cliquey, this was a great find. I joined Bookham about 5 years ago and since then have played much more tennis than before. There's plenty of social tennis and also various club competitions and opportunities to play in league matches against other clubs. Everyone is very friendly and new members are made welcome from the start, whatever their standard.

I have been a member of Bookham tennis club for about 20 years and it is probably the friendliest club in the area. Although we do play a few league matches the majority of the tennis we play is on club days/evening where all standards of players are welcomed. My partner, a slightly rusty tennis player, wanted to join a local tennis club about 6 years ago and after some research she suggested we get family membership at Bookham. I'd never played tennis before but was immediately welcomed into the club and got lots of support from existing members. I now love playing and we've both made many close friends at the club. Great value too!

A very friendly tennis club which welcomes and encourages all whether they are competative players or those who have not played for years. There is a good range of turn up and play sessions and with recent resurfacing and re fencing of the 2 courts and the facilities of SPACE which we have access to, this must be one of the best value tennis clubs in the area.
