I came across Bill as a performer (brilliant - definitely worth catching him at Googlies or Jazz at St Ants!!) and particularly loved his tone so I was delighted to find out that he gives lessons! He is patient and great at explaining and communicating complex (to me!) information. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and only wish my music teachers at school had been as engaging and motivating!! Bill is an excellent teacher. He has taught my daughter flute from grade 1 to grade 8, saxophone up to grade 6 (currently) and now even clarinet. He is an accomplished musician and teacher. My daughter has become accomplished both technically and musically. She has also learned to appreciate different styles of music through his teaching method. Bill is one who will push in order to empower you to step up to the next level of playing. As an extra treat, he can sometimes be heard playing duets...

Bill has a level of patience that is most remarkable. He is unique in his teaching style in that; he is so encouraging which gives me the impetus to keep pushing ahead. Bill certainly does not hug my lessons, but allow for expression, especially when there is a degree of pessimism. By the time I am finished my saxophone lesson, I feel that what I have learnt seems tangible and rewarding. If ever you are in doubt about starting saxophone lessons, I would highly recommend Bill. Bill is lovely teacher, with lot of patience and very kind with kids. My daughter enjoys her flute class and she's lucky to have him.. I would recommend him definitely 👍.

Bill is amazing and has the patience of a Saint! Learning Saxophone and with his encouragement have passed grade 5 performance and hopefully grade 5 theory (awaiting result)
