Beautiful Things

Have had a wonderful time here learning how to use a sewing machine. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun and I have learnt so much...and done so much sewing too!! If like me you always have wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine or just craft more-I would really recommend checking out the website and signing up for a class! You will not regret it!

I attended a one day intensive sewing class at beautiful things as an absolute beginner. The course is first class. Sandra was an outstanding teacher, demystifying any difficult areas in an incredibly patient and engaging way. She was so warm and welcoming, as well as taking care to ensure that everyone took away 3 beautiful projects, (completed to a great standard,) by the end of the day. I have also enjoyed Claire’s fabulous online videos, and feel I’ve discovered a hidden gem in Brentwo...

Excellent Roman blind class! Great instruction and a fabulous class. Left with full instructions to make my large blind and details for calculating the fabrics needed for any window.

A lovely company - they do great sewing and craft courses, and the fabric/haberdashery shop is small but has lots of choice. I’m a member of the Sew Beautiful Things sewing club which is an online club with a new project each month. Been trained by both Claire and Maddison over the last few years, from my first weekend class to make a full circle dress, and then sewing jersey, to most recently learning to crochet during lockdown.

Had a lovely weekend here sewing. Claire is a lovely host/teacher and the facilities are excellent. In the current climate everything is clean and safe and I was tempted by the lovely fabrics in the shop too. Highly recommend
