  • I appreciate the fact it’s cheap and it’s a council course but boy was it tedious to play here in winter. Kept losing balls right in the middle of the fairway due to the terrible grass and mud everywhere. Would wait till summer again to try this course.

  • Played here when I was young then joined a private club and got to 1 handicap at my best played barshaw recently and it's a lot tougher than years ago there's a lot more trees and if you play of the medal tees it a good challenge.

  • Course badly needs drainage upgrades in certain areas and the greens need a good bit of attention. They also grass cuttings on the course quite often making it a nightmare to find your ball.

  • The tees are very poor . The fairways grass very long . Greens have minimum maintenance on them ,no sand bunkers. If the council spent some proper money on decent equipment and a green keeper the course could be quite good.

  • Many years since I've played on my old favourite course, greens were in poor condition to be honest, fairways and layout was nice, a club house is required as is a major investment, a sleeping giant is currently needing awakened.
