Wonderful setting, lovely course though a little trampled by cattle at this time of year (April). Amazing views over to Barra and inland. Very tricky greens

Walked with dog accompanying husband on first 9 holes and was absolutely blown away with the scenery, landscape and weather. Also my husband's skill at playing golf. A wonderful course in a natural and original setting. Now I think I understand why he loves golf ⛳

One is Scotland's little golfing gems. If golf is your passion then get on a plane or ferry and come play Askernish. Extremely friendly staff and locals and the clubhouse is well stocked to revive you after braving the local weather.

The Club is open to non members to use the Cafe. There is a small range of dishes available but very good, nice cakes too. Great place in a lovely setting, ideal for a quick bite or coffee and cake. Very pleasant staff and welcoming atmosphere.

This golf course is extremely special. It's hard not to be moved as you make your way around the course. It is golf the way it was supposed to be played not these modern day courses where you get a perfect lie wherever you end up, Askernish is as pure a test ( and a test it is) as it comes. If you are attending Scotland for a golf trip i would advise to you to make Askernish the number 1 course on your list. As someone from the West of Scotland i have played all of Scotlands best golf courses...
