Was expecting lots from Ash Valley but came away somewhat disappointed. Many of the bunkers were defined as GUR and those in use had not been well prepared, the attached picture shows a lack of raking in one that was in use, as it was full of animal prints. The best description for Ash Valley golf club. Challenging, long and hilly. Overall the golf club is good value, long holes and the condition is in ok condition. Fairways are wide, rough is very long and tough to get out. The greens need work and are not as pure as other courses in the area. Club house lacks changing facilities, but a pint is cheap and staff are super friendly. For £20 well worth a visit.
