Andark Lake is perfect for those wishing to start open water and cold water swimming or dipping, You can find Andark Lake, which is just off the A27 near the marina in Lower Swanick; look out for Oslands Lane; as you drive in, you'll see a carpark on your right. Park here and walk up the track to find the lake; if you are disabled, your can drive up to and use the spaces up there; however, there is limited parking. I've been swimming at Andark Lake for many years; the water is always clear ...

One of my favourite places in Hampshire. As an avid swimmer Andark Lake has been a life saver - great facilities, from the changing rooms to cafe the clear, fresh water to the surrounding nature, it's all so beautiful! Highly recommend if your local or passing through.

Absolutely love my swims here. Amazing location, quiet and peaceful and a great place to swim where you don't have to worry about abrasive chemicals or water quality! Changing rooms are tidy and cafe is great too.

I began cold water swimming here last year and absolutely loved it. I wish I had found it sooner as I also swim here every week in warmer weather as it is much nicer than a pool. The changing rooms are fabulous and the coffee good as well. My son recently completed his PADI diving course here with a group of friends and they all rated the instructors and facilities. Top marks!

I attended the Introduction to Open Water Swimming course here in July. It is something I have wanted to try for a long time. I learnt so much. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and explained so much. The course included a swim in the lake which was clean. clearly marked and is an amazing experience. Great that you can book to swim here regularly and I have found out lots more about open water swimming locally since this course.
