Alex Allpress Pottery School & Studio

My partner and I loved our three hour pottery experience. Alex was informative and patient with our throwing skills. We are having three pots fired and have taken others home. Having time to make a coil pot and many pots on the potters wheel was brilliant! Highly recommend this experience and hopefully we will return in the near future. Alex, thank you very much!

We spent the most enjoyable morning with Alex learning pottery. We were both complete beginners and had a go at coil pots and, most enjoyably, on the wheel. We were a party of 12. 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 3 up to 12 yo. We all had a fantastic afternoon out at Alex's pottery school. Alex is a fantastic teacher, a natural. He was great with the kids, patient and kept them engaged, and with us adults he was equally brilliant, he helped us make some fantastic pieces that we'll all use and treasure for a lifetime. Two of us spent an enjoyable morning with Alex learning how to throw pots on a wheel. It was great fun and he was very patient with his tuition. We chose a 3 hour slot but I’d perhaps recommend a longer session for a bit more time to decorate the finished pots.
