My Wife who is a non driver took classes from the Alans School of Motoring and passed the driving test today in her First attempt. Driving instructor Peter is a very good instructor and built confidence in her learning to drive.

DO NOT use this School. Rip Offs, the first lesson I paid £40 cash to drop another client home. I said maybe it is the first lesson just to see my driving ability. But he did the same the next lesson when I said NO he said we will drop her on the road. Who do you want someone to pay 37 per hour and ask them to drive someone else home or be dropped off 45 minutes away from home?

Strong 0/10 avoid this company at all costs, just after your money they will try get you to do 2 hour lessons at a time as a standard hour is not satisfactory to teach a person how to drive apparently?!?! The only reason i took the east Lothian instructor was because she was only one available to take me at the time of enquiry & it is clear why she was the only one left. Spent 8 months with her to be told she cant fit me in for lessons & i was to go use another car to sit my test. I done exac...

Very unprofessional. Spent 300 pound with William for 10 hours who taught me a very bad approach to driving, and then retired before me completing the driving test. This means that I have to pay again 300 pound for starting over once more with a different car and have to wait another 2 months to take my test. Wasted time and money. I want to thank Davy, the driving instructor from Alan’s driving school. Davy is a fantastic instructor: calm, clear, friendly, professional. His skilled yet laid-back attitude made me feel very relaxed and confident when we were out driving. All of his instructions, teaching and tips were excellent and easy to understand.
