Excellent club catering for novices, then all the way through to those at the top of their rowing careers.
Coaching is available, the boat house has a wide range of equipment, gym area enables you to tailor your rowing training. Food and drinks usually available over the weekend mornings.
Great for all ages and levels of fitness.
This club was set up in the 1800's and is still going strong ,with Paralympics and Olympics hopefuls training there is a bit of a cliché to join in, as I was given the cold shoulder today by a not so friendly member,
But other than that it's a nice little club with very friendly staff ,who care about what your doing and how you do it ,
Fingers crossed I can get in
I thought rowing would be a bit intimidating to get into, but they were really friendly, super helpful and keen to have new members. As always, this kind of activity beats a gym every day.
