Adrian Mccolgan Pottery Studio

I recently completed a 4 week beginners course with Adrian and had the best time. I did a day workshop and loved it so decided to go back to learn a bit more. We went through a few different pottery techniques, creating a range of different shapes- then got to glaze our creations! It was class seeing what everyone in the group created and Adrian was patient and a good laugh throughout the experience. If anyone’s interested in dipping their toes in, I’d definitely recommend!

Had a blast making pots with Adrian as a pre wedding get together. He was the perfect teacher, guiding us through the process, helping us improve and adding a subtle tweak that built our confidence and made us think we could be pros. We had lots of good old Irish craic too …and some snacks! We were so pleased with the results when he glazed and fired them for us. Excellent beginners pottery lesson and a great wee day out. Adrian is a brilliant teacher, I didn't expect to learn so much or do so well for my first ever lesson! Adrian is very generous with his time and nothing is too much trouble at all! The set up is top class and very professional but there is also a lovely relaxed and easy going atmosphere which makes you feel at ease. We would like to say a huge thank you to Adrian and Charlotte for hosting a Birthday Pottery Class for us. Adrian was an amazing teacher who was really patient and helpful with those of us less talented. We did not stop laughing from the minute we arrived. Can't wait to see all of the creations we made especially the mugs for our tea and the mermaids , cheetahs etc the little ones made. Adrian is an excellent host. He makes everyone feel at ease and very knowledgeable. The class is usually quite small numbers and we all have different abilities. Adrian is able to dedicate time to each of us to encourage our skills to progress. Others in the class are friendly and we have lots of fun each week. The equipment is easy to use and the studio has recently expanded. I decided to stay on after my initial course had finished to expand my skills more. Highly recommended!!
