Abersoch Hydro

Excellent place on the beach. Good staff who are very flexible with bookings. Good value for money and good options. We had the single person kayaks and a canoe. Kids loved being on the sea with control over how and where they went. Carpark is available on the beach and costs £5, worth it for the ease, especially with kids and travelling in for the activity.

Great little place! As a sailing instructor, I’ve cancelled many sessions due to weather or staffing issues and it’s disappointing to see negative comments on that kind of thing below. You can never guarantee that it’s going to be safe to go on the water as it depends completely on the weather, the worse the weather is the more people you need to make things safe. My daughter and I booked on to the RYA, personal watercraft certificate of proficiency course with Abersoch Hydro. The experience from the first call to getting our certificates was first class! My Grandsons, have learned to sail here and alway been a nice, safe place to learn. Staff are professional, calm, fun and my grandsons, have always enjoyed the RYA courses. They also learned to powerboat safely last year too. Highly reccomended.

My Sons, Max & Reece, first tried a taster session sailing here at Abersoch Sailing school eight years ago.
