As the season progresses, your skiing will transform as you work towards an internationally recognised Ski Instructor Qualification. In 10 weeks, you’ll cover piste performance training, freeride and freestyle sessions with sponsored athletes, and of course, your exams.

OVERVIEW

With our Meribel 10 Week ski instructor course, you will take your skiing abilities to the limit and unleash your potential as a ski instructor! This course offers unparalleled immersive training that gives you both theoretical and practical preparation for professional ski instruction. You’ll build lasting relationships and expand your network with experienced instructors who will help guide and mentor you.

Not only will this program give you the credentials to fast-track whatever job hunt lies ahead, but it also provides priceless hands-on experience that is sure to set you on the path to a successful future in the mountains.

You will take part in intensive training with New Generation Ski School and The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI). After successfully passing your exams, you’ll have globally recognised ski instructor qualifications. You’ll cover more than just ski technique during your ten weeks on the mountain, though – You’ll also get help finding employment existing within the ski school, key skills like avalanche awareness and rescue and first aid.

Immersing yourself in a professional ski environment will provide invaluable experience, pushing your boundaries while having fun on the snow and reaching new heights!

From the snow-sure peaks in Val Thoren with steep north-facing couloirs and wide-open powder fields right across to the myriad of secret tree runs in Courchevel. The only way to experience the best Meribel offers is to spend a season here and learn from a local.

What to Expect

Where you’ll stay

Normally the ‘ski season way of living’ can be a bit of a surprise if you’re not used to it, with “cosy” and slightly dated apartments. However, Chalet Cassenoix is an incredible property.

This spacious chalet is located in Nantgerel, a quiet village just one stop on the bus from Meribel. Cassenoix has five twin bedrooms, all of which are en suite. Upstairs there is a lovely light living and dining space with TV, internet, a cosy fireplace and amazing views from the balcony. The open plan kitchen has a dishwasher, huge fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and most importantly, before a day on the slopes… a coffee machine!

There is a separate ski room, with a heated boot rack so your feet are always warm and dry. It’s essentially a 10-week chalet holiday.

*To ski off-piste safely, you must carry a transceiver shovel and probe. We will take you off-piste during your course and highly recommend that all students purchase their own safety equipment. If you don’t purchase avalanche safety equipment you will need to hire it for the off-piste days.
