This course helps you appreciate the complexity of coral reef habitats and teaches how you can help conserve these vital systems. Everyone likes to scuba dive or snorkel in warm, clear water on a vibrant coral reef, yet many people know little about what they’re seeing or the importance of reef ecosystems. The Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course helps you appreciate the complexity of these habitats and teaches you how you can help conserve these vital systems. Anyone who has an interest in the aquatic world can take this course. There are no prerequisites or age restrictions, and no water sessions are required to earn this non-diving certification. Through online classroom discussions, you learn: - How coral reefs function and the complex nature of life on a reef. - Why coral reefs are so important. - Why many coral reefs are in serious trouble. - What you can do to prevent further decline. - How Project AWARE unites divers and water enthusiasts to make a difference. At the end of this course, you receive an electronic PDF certificate to recognize your attendance. If you are a qualified PADI diver then this course can count to your Master Scuba Diving Rating, should you choose to upgrade your certificate to a PADI e-PIC Certification Card (This will be a E-Card you will need the PADI app to display this) - Cost £80 you can decide to upgrade after your course, but there is also an option to buy here today.

At additional cost,

Course Hand out and Workbook, and a printed-on card certificate of attendance - These are posted out second class to UK addresses and posted out 14 days before the course. 

This course is held through video conference (via Teams) and will be delivered in English only. It's the participants responsibility to ensure that you have good internet access, and capable of running Teams preferably from a pc. Webcams are optional but audio is a requirement. An email with a link will be sent to you once you are confirmed on the course.

Please ensure your email address give is correct. You don't have to have teams installed you can join by the web client. 

We would recommend that if you also intend to take the Project Aware Specialist Course, that the Project Aware Specialist course is taken first. That course gives you a grounding into Project aware and you will get more from the Coral Reef course if taken after the specialist course. 

International Attendance. We are happy to extend this course outside of the UK. We regret for the moment Workbooks and certificates cannot be posted out to places outside of the UK. You will still receive an email PDF certificate and all required materials can be viewed under the resources on our website.
