Learn to fit Trousers to your body using the Emerson Trousers by True Bias

Learn how to adjust a printed pattern to fit you. Emma will teach you how to measure your body and create a toile/muslin in order to get a perfect fit to your trousers.

We will be making the Emerson Trousers by True Bias and a copy of the pattern [worth £16] will be included in the workshop cost. 

You’ll make a muslin/toile and then be able to make further adjustments to your pattern. Toile fabric and pattern paper will be provided. You will also start on final version in your chosen fabric.

We have planned the workshop so you will get your fit right and may well finish your final garment but due to the differences in our bodies and sewing abilities you may take longer, don't worry, you have the pattern to keep and the support of the team to finish at home or another day.

You will need a medium weight canvas or twill, another choice could be corduroy or denim. You can make the Emerson in a lighter weight fabric but the shape of the trouser will be more fluid. Requirements for each size are listed in the pictures above.

If your hip and waist measurements fall outside of the range of the printed pattern [over 46'/118cm] let use know and we can make arrangements so you can have access to the other size range.

Just bring yourself and some lunch to nibble, we will keep you going with tea and cake! You will use Pfaff machines in Stitching Kitchen's fully equipped studio and all tools will be provided.

Please note that this workshop is held in our light and spacious first floor studio at Stitching Kitchen, which is accessible by stairs.
