Come join us at the Stitching Kitchen Studio for a rejuvenating morning of sewing every Monday morning. Over the five weeks, we're creating a space dedicated to nurturing your sewing journey and providing you with some essential 'me time'.
Bring along your current sewing project, and whether you choose to use your own machine or borrow one of ours, you'll receive the support you need to progress at your own pace.
Claire will be there to guide you through any challenges you encounter with your project. From deciphering patterns to tackling fit issues, interpreting instructions, and making adjustments, Claire is here to help.
Claire is a couture designer, seamstress, and stylist with over 28 years of experience in the fashion industry. After earning her degree in Design & Technology from the prestigious London College of Fashion in 2008, Claire began her career in couture bridal and evening wear.
Claire is passionate about sustainable fashion and advocates for altering, repairing, and enhancing wardrobe staples, as well as embracing second-hand and vintage clothing, instead of contributing to the fast-fashion cycle. She believes in reimagining existing garments to create truly unique pieces that celebrate individuality while promoting a more sustainable future for fashion.
There is a well stocked haberdashery at Stitching Kitchen so most notions are available to buy during the workshop - tea and biscuits are included.
