Introduction to Musical Theatre

Think of your favourite musical. Take a little singing, throw in some dance, add a sprinkle of drama and there you have it – Musical Theatre.

This course will be delivered each Tuesday evening and will suit anybody who loves the idea of performing in a musical but has no or little experience.

Over the 10 weeks for this winter term you will work with Stage & the City’s Musical Director Jack Holliday and choreographer Amy Mauvan who will guide you through a selection of musical theatre numbers, working on the essential components of acting, singing and dance, to create a number that can be included in the Stage & the City Charity Showcase this December.

Term by term you will learn all the tips and tricks to performing in a musical and what it takes to keep an audience entertained. This is a great fun and fabulous way to learn three disciplines in one. An upbeat course that will have you singing, dancing and acting in no time.
