This introduction to mental health is a brilliant starting point or refresher if you've previously done some study.
What will I learn?
After one day of manageable chunks of learning, you will feel confident in:
What mental health is
Be able to easily recognise some common signs of mental illness
Describing common mental health conditions
Know the difference between anxiety, depression, stress and some eating disorders.
You will finish the day knowing how to have supportive conversations and with a good idea of what professional support is available and how to signpost to it.
No previous qualifications are necessary, though some mental health knowledge may be useful. You will be reassured throughout the training and support is there for any knowledge gaps.
