Assessing potential foster carers can be a very enjoyable and rewarding role. Form F Assessors on average earn £2500 per completed assessment.
Our CPD Accredited training course equips delegates with the skills needed to undertake a Form F assessment. All delegates will complete 3 online modules and then attend a live online workshop with one of our tutors. Our CPD accredited training course is for social workers who are new to fostering or experienced assessors wanting to develop their skills. It will provide assessors with the knowledge and skills to meet all statutory requirements when preparing and presenting reports to a fostering panel. The course follows CoramBAAF guidelines. The course is presented by one of our experienced Training Form F Assessors. The online workshop starts at 9.45 and finishes at 1pm, online modules take around 3 hours to complete. Total study time is 7 CPD hours.
Our CPD Accredited training course is designed to equip social workers to produce high quality assessments. Social workers who are new to fostering assessments or those who are experienced will benefit from developing their analytical and reflective skills.
Prior to the training session each delegate will receive details on how to access the 3 online modules. Each delegate will receive an assessor pack containing, Form F Section A and B Exemplars, Form F supporting documentation examples, case studies and much more. Each delegate will also receive via the post an Undertaking a Fostering Assessment Guide Book. After completing the course each delegate will receive a CPD accredited certificate (7 CPD hours). To access the online workshop all registered delegates will receive an email containing a link. All that is required is a computer and an internet connection. Delegates will also have the option dial into the session from a phone. This live online session gives delegates the opportunity to ask questions and interact throughout the session.

Introduce the Secure Base Model of assessing foster carers
To prepare assessors for dealing with unexpected issues
Highlight key lessons from serious case reviews
Introduce participants to the panel process

Newly qualified and social work students who are looking to join a fostering team will benefit from the course.
The course is geared towards practice in England however social workers based in Wales and Scotland are able to attend and will receive a guidance book covering the legislation and processes for their respective countries.

Attendees are required to be a qualified social worker or social work student.

The course will give social workers the skills needed to complete Form F Assessments for local Authorities, Independent Fostering Agencies or to work as an independent Form F Assessor.
