What You Will Learn:
Chapter 1: Introduction to Home Gym Design
Through five chapters of informative content, fitness professionals will learn the benefits of a home gym and guiding clients through the home gym installation process.
Chapter 2: Planning and Preparation (Step 1)
Throughout this chapter, individuals will establish a plan to understand why a home gym is needed and possible spaces that would be appropriate locations for the home gym.
Chapter 3: Fitness Goal Alignment (Step 3)
Professionals will dive into greater detail on the fitness goals of their clients, using communication strategies to help further define and assess the goals of the individual to ensure proper alignment.
Chapter 4: Equipment Selection (Step 3)
Professionals and enthusiasts will leverage insights gained from the first two steps to select appropriate exercise equipment for the client’s and/or enthusiast’s home gym installation.
Chapter 5: Completing the Home Gym Design Process
Fitness professionals will be provided tools and templates to help monetize their abilities to design home gyms while reinforcing their lifetime value for their clients.

Final Exam
After the completion of the course, you will take an online final exam that consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. The exam is timed and cannot exceed 90 minutes. To pass, you need a score of 70% or higher. If you score below that, you have up to 3 attempts to pass.
Pre-Requisites
There are no prerequisites for this course, although a personal trainer certification or a fitness specialization is recommended.
You will have 1 year (365 days) days from the date of enrollment.
No, you do not need to renew your NASM Home Gym Design specialization. Once you pass your final exam, your certificate never expires.
The final exam is administered online within your student portal. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and 90 minutes for completion. You must score a 70% or higher to pass and you will have 3 attempts.
NASM-HGD is approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the following organizations:
NASM – 0.7 CEUs
AFAA – 7 CEUs
