Beginner level
Impressionist flowers & foliage, mixed media workshop will be led by our resident artist Helen Worthington of Evendawn Arts.
Experience Level: Suitable for beginners, or anyone who wants to try the looseness of acrylics and acrylic inks, and then use oil sticks to create an impressionistic painting of an imagined garden or wild natural space.
Working on a small canvas board, you will be guided through all the stages of building a flowing and colourful background in acrylics, and then you’ll be given the opportunity to add depth and interest by applying versatile oil paint sticks over the top.
Building layers of colours and detail in this way is very satisfying, and each participant will create something unique and beautiful in the workshop.
Important Note: Acrylic paints and inks will stain clothing and not wash out, so please ensure you wear clothing that is suitable for this type of work. (Aprons will be provided on the day).
Also, you might wish to bring some protective gloves in case of contact/staining.
All materials will be provided for the session
