Mental Health First Aid Refresher

Empower Mental Health First Aiders and Champions to maintain their skills with regular Refresher training. Just like physical first aid, we recommend that you refresh your skills every two to three years. (Certificate expires after 3 years). If it's time to update your skills, book onto an MHFA Refresher course now and feel confident that you are performing your vital role safely.

Course outcomes

The MHFA Refresher course takes four hours to complete and will enable learners to:

Keep their knowledge, awareness, and skills of mental health support current

Update their knowledge of mental health and what influences it

Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan

Once you have completed your MHFA Refresher course, you will be certified for three years. You will also be invited to become or stay a member of MHFA England's Association of Mental Health First Aiders, making sure you have everything you need to feel confident when supporting others.

Completed a different mental health first aid course, you can still complete this refresher to maintain your MHFAider status

As part of the MHFA vision to improve the mental health of the nation, we are now able to accept other Level 3 qualifications from other providers as entry points for this course.
This includes:

FutureQuals Level 3 Award in Mental Health: Workplace First Aider FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)
