The workshop will provide a practical overview of the process from responding to the initial letter of instruction, conducting the assessment, writing the report and preparing to give evidence in court.

Through teaching and a variety of case studies, our aim is to provide you with the confidence to apply your existing skills and expertise in a legal context.

The workshop will include the following:

  • What you need to know about the law

  • Taking instructions and providing an estimate of costs

  • Conducting psychological assessments

  • Psychometric assessment

  • Report-writing

  • Answering questions related to trauma and memory

The workshop will focus predominantly on assessment and report-writing, with a focus on answering questions related to complex presentations of trauma and the impact on memory and behaviour.
